BLANCHOT is an electronic forum for discussion and experimentation
pertaining to the writings of Maurice Blanchot and his intersections with
Derrida, Heidegger, Foucault, Levinas, Bataille, Deleuze, Nietzsche,
Klossowski, etc. BLANCHOT is an open list – all interested parties are
invited and encouraged to participate.

Posts on all aspects of Blanchot will be welcomed. The list is open to
general discussion, group readings of published works, the sharing and
critique of participants’ works-in-progress, and creative appropriations of
the texts across a variety of disciplines.

This list is unmoderated in the sense that all posts are sent out without
the need for approval. The hosts/coordinators for the list are Dan Kern
(dank@mail.utexas.edu) and Reg Lilly (rlilly@skidmore.edu). Please
address any questions, comments, or concerns that are not appropriate for
the list as a whole to one of us.

The Spoon Collective intends that, as a community, the list be
self-governing, and that any difficulties that may arise between
participants be resolved internally. Ordinary respect and courtesy towards
other list members _is_ expected and flame wars are, of course,
discouraged. However, threads will not be interrupted simply because the
tone grows heated, as it sometimes does. Each list member is asked to help
make the list work by being an active participant in the list community –
posting when you have something to contribute and letting the rest of the
list know when something happens on the list that concerns you and that you
would like the rest of the list to consider.

BLANCHOT is brought to you by the Spoon Collective, a group of Net
citizens devoted to free and open discussion of philosophical issues on the
Internet. Based on the Collective’s philosophy, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT POSTS
CONTAINING LANGUAGE OR DEALING WITH SUBJECT MATTER THAT SOME MIGHT FIND
OFFENSIVE MAY APPEAR ON THE LIST FROM TIME TO TIME, AND SUCH POSTS WILL NOT
BE CENSORED. For that reason, if you are not interested in receiving such
posts, please do not subscribe.

Other Spoon lists include: avant-garde, bataille, baudrillard, cybermind,
deleuze-guattari, feyerabend, fiction-of-philosophy, film-theory, foucault,
frankfurt-school, french-feminism, lyotard, marxism, nietzsche,
postcolonial…
